GOLDEN JUBILEE The Cancer Institute (W.I.A.) in 2004, completes 50 years of what we believe was a very useful life. There have been major achievements in this time and we’ve come a long way from the one room hospital in 1954. We have marked out events to celebrate this eventful journey while keeping the road ahead in sight. Events planned: PROJECTS In order to move forward in this era of rapid medical advances, we have identified projects that will add a big thrust to our efforts.   • Procuring Additional and New Equipment– M.R.I., P.E.T., P.D.R. Brachytherapy,           Imrunit, Spiral C.T., U.S.G. Units, Mammography Units, C.T. Simulator, Endoscopes, Monitors, Ventilators. • Building a new I.C.U. Block • Computerisation of medical records • Building a Hospice for the terminally ill • Creating a new Pediatric Oncology Wing • Expanding Dharmshala • Conducting more Community Medicine Programmes • Expanding Rehabilitation Services (Post-Treatment Patients Placements For Jobs)
