Over 9000
surgical procedures are performed every year. The department is equipped with video endoscopes, operating
laparoscope's and microscopes and other technical equipment.
Has a well equipped ICU and experienced anesthetic staff. Well equipped
departments of physiotherapy and speech and swallowing therapy are also
there.
Administers unique programmes in skull base surgery for Head and Neck
cancers and limb salvage surgery using custom made prostheses for
extremity sarcoma in young adults.
A separate division of experimental surgery has been formed for training
in surgical skills.
